Code of Conduct

casebook.vet exists so veterinary professionals can discuss real cases openly and safely. This Code of Conduct applies to everything you post — cases, comments and profile content.

1. Protect patient and client confidentiality

• Anonymise every case before posting: no owner names, addresses, microchip numbers or practice-identifying details.
• Ensure images are free of identifying marks and are used with appropriate consent where required.

2. Be professional and respectful

• Critique the case, not the clinician. Disagreement is welcome; disrespect is not.
• No harassment, discrimination or personal attacks.

3. Keep it clinical and honest

• Share genuine cases and honest opinions based on your experience and evidence.
• Declare conflicts of interest where relevant.
• No advertising, self-promotion or commercial solicitation.

4. Respect the limits of remote advice

• Discussions on casebook.vet are peer perspectives, not formal referrals or clinical instructions.
• The treating vet always retains full clinical responsibility.

5. Report concerns

If you see content that breaches this code, report it to info@casebook.vet. Breaches may result in content removal, suspension or termination of membership.
